LOCATION
Raleigh Road Supported independence Unit is situated conveniently close to the new Feltham Shopping Centre with all of it’s services and facilities. The Unit provides shared accommodation for Young People over eighteen who are needing assistance with the difficult and often traumatic process of finding their independence safely. Within this Supported Independence Unit each Young Person has their own bedroom, fully furnished and with TV, and shares lounge, kitchen, laundry and bathroom facilities.

The unit is close to Feltham Station with its rail links into Central London, and there is a nearby bus service that runs directly into the centre of Hounslow.

SERVICES
Whilst Raleigh Road offers Young People the opportunity to live independently, nevertheless there is the safety net of 24-hour telephone support from an experienced Outreach Worker. And the Unit is discretely monitored by Outreach Workers to ensure that Young People are living safely and sensibly. On arrival, each Young Person has their immediate needs and current living skills assessed. Working in partnership with them and their Care Authority, levels of outreach support sessions and an Independence Programme are agreed. These will recognise each Young Person’s true strengths and limitations at this crucial stage of their development.

At Raleigh Road it is recognised that successful integration into the community depends upon empowering Young People by giving them life skills and confidence to happily coexist within their community. In this respect at Raleigh Road each Young Person is encouraged to take part in Integrated Care’s Moving On Up programme of independent living skills.
