LOCATION
Beacon Lodge is a large, detached Victorian house set in tranquil gardens. Located in a quiet avenue in East Finchley it blends easily into the neighbourhood.

Close to several bus routes, an underground station nearby and local shops only a five minute walk away, Beacon Lodge is ideally located.

Each woman has her own room which she shares with her baby. Additionally there are dining room, nursery, laundry, kitchen and visiting facilities. A separate bungalow in the grounds is available for assessments of a family group which includes a father.

SERVICES
Beacon Lodge is a residential Family Centre registered with Ofsted. It offers a wide range of services to mothers of all ageswho, in addition to having babies or infants, have attendant problems. They may be teenagers subject to Care Orders, may have mild to moderate learning difficulties, mental health or other dependency problems. Additionally there may be concerns about possible neglect or abuse.

Focusing on the mother’s ability to learn and develop adequate and safe parenting skills, Beacon Lodge will co-operate with planning processes required by local Authorities. Court reports, Assessment and Child Protection Work are all undertaken. Independence skills including budgeting , cooking and the effective use of local resources are taught.

Through a process of advice , instruction and education women are prepared for independence and parenting.

Beacon Lodge can also undertake community based assessments and has CCTV and other specialist facilities to provide a professional, supervised Access service.
